Gotten the sewing fundamentals down and completed a few projects? Now you're ready to make something to wear! This Sew a Shirt Workshop is the ideal place to hone your skills. Discover more about fabrics, pattern placement and cutting. Learn the fundamentals of fusing and stabilizers for collars and facing. Designer Mary-Ann will lead participants through the entire process from cutting to buttonholes and button sewing.
Pre-requisite: 2 beginner workshops; B1-Get started beginners workshop and B2-Make a bag workshop or the equivalent sewing experience.
This workshop is a 3 session course (total 9 hours).
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 10 am to 1pm.
Choose "with machine" if you want a sewing machine supplied. If you want to bring your own sewing machine, choose "bring your own machine" (your machine should be working well and have bobbins and needles to match.)
Material list and pattern requirements will be sent upon booking. All tools and Sewing machines (if booked with one) are provided. Pattern, fabric, fusing, and matching thread are the students responsibility.
Workshops are held at 1692 Queen St. W. Toronto, either in the shop or the lower level studio. There usually is street parking available.
